INCLUSIVE EDUCATION IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR

With the enforcement of the Right for Children to Free and Compulsory education act 2009, education becomes a fundamental right for all children in the age group of 6 to 14 year. The values of equality, social justice , democracy and the creation of a just and human society can be – achieved only through  provision of INCLUSIVE-EDUCATION  for all. The increase in the access and enrollment rates shows substantial progress in respect of achieving the education for all goals. However, still the aspects of equality and quality in education remains unaccomplished due to the debatable quality of teaching- learning processes and learning outcomes etc. This paper will highlight the significance of inclusive education with special reference to RTE 2009 and NCF 2005.
