WATER ALLOCATION PRIORITIES IN RAJASTHAN

Dry seasons are omnipresent to Rajasthan, with unpredictable precipitation and extraordinary temperatures being basic highlights in numerous regions of the state and the state is regularly faces the basic issues of intermittent dry spells (repeating dry spells in 3-4 years in a cycle of 5 years; GOR, 2005) and shortage of water. Notwithstanding miserable situation on the supply side, the low water use proficiency in conventional strategy for water system is irritating the issue to an unsustainable dimension.
